Our Story
My name is Robert Child, and I’m the founder of CSM Professional Staffing. I have an MS/MBA and over 10 years of experience as a research scientist. I have worked for several major biotech and biomedical organizations in my career. I have also been a founder or played a primary role in the founding of several successful startup businesses in Missoula and the Bitterroot Valley. See my resume here. Through these experiences I have seen firsthand how an organization’s success depends on employee performance. Matching the right employee to the right role is critical to successful outcomes.
Through my professional work involvement and startup founding efforts, I identified a true need in the area for a local professional staffing alternative. I saw firsthand, and heard multiple times from colleagues and associates, that it would be wonderful to have someone local and accessible to partner with for staffing issues. I also saw and heard how recruiters without a thorough knowledge of the area had a difficult time effectively showcasing all that Missoula and the Bitterroot Valley have to offer, both in terms of career development and quality of life. It was apparent to me that a local professional staffing firm could serve the growing business needs of Missoula and Bitterroot Valley industries much more effectively than a national organization or an organization with a remote base of operations.
